Hi, we're Dean & Pat Faulkner. We live and work in beautiful Southern Oregon. We've been happily married for over 22 years.
Matt, our oldest son, is 12 years old. He likes building things and loves to work on houses with Dean. Josh is 10 years old, and loves to talk to home buyers and sellers with us, especially if they have school age children. Adopting Matt and Josh into our family has been one of the highlights of our lives.
We've owned and run our own business for 23 years. At first, it was making wooden toys and lawn and garden art for the gift industry. You may have met us at craft fairs.
Five years ago, our lives turned upside down. Our business burned to the ground, destroying everything, 6 weeks earlier, we had decreased the amount of our insurance coverage. The state fire marshal said the fire was accidental. Never the less, it took 3 years for the insurance company to finally pay anything, and that was for less than our losses. As you can imagine, this total loss of capital and income also set off a cascading sequence in our personal lives as well.
The out pouring of support from our community was wonderful. Friends brought meals over to us. Total strangers offered help. Family members lent us grocery money. Others prayed for us.
We decided to go into a business where we could help, for free, other people under stress.
Our mission statement is "To provide a service with efficiency, integrity and compassion."
